I think the second one is more interesting with the text in the filled sections. I like the yellow section where it fills up the whole block with that one sentence, maybe you could try that with a few others?
The 2nd poster kind of looks like a tubular tunnel, which could be cool if you made it look like you were looking down in it and could fall in it. It could represent the vastness of the years you thought was most captivating.
I agree that #2 is more interesting. I am not sure if your concept is really clear here, but the overall look is strong. It is difficult to zoom on a Blog, I hope, it is possible to read your small text. If those white lines of thext are too long and it is hard to read backwards, you can break everything in mulitple columns adn make sure that everything is readable.
I also think that type in gray color in the center almost disappears and blends with black, I would make it lighter to be more visible. To me it looks like a vinyl, which makes a lot of sense. Make sure we can read small type underneath your white numbers and letters. Everything should be readable. Good.
