Lei Sum

Hello, I am Lei
My concept is life is circle, but there's something lacking in this one.

  1. The concept really shows in the 2nd poster. How certain things are lacking. I like how you relate the title with the concept too. However, I feel that the information would be better if it's included in the artwork too. I feel that its separated. But the 2nd week really shows an improvement on your concept!

  2. This poster shows the life is circle, the color is strong. I think the typeface should have more movement and maybe using more colors.

  3. Your concept is really clear in your poster. But I think 4parts (SUM, Circle graphic, typo, square graphic) are not harmonious a little bit. I feel 3 parts have each ones' big voices and square one is just added. I also wonder about the circle images and text. If they are related each other, it would be good to connect them using your first poster text design with second poster's color proportion.

  4. I think the image looks really nice with the supporting text at the bottom. I think it would be even cooler if you made a legend/key with the text to give it more meaning/purpose, and connection to your image. So within the key, you can explicitly define the pieces that make up the circle, perhaps label them with shades of gray/muted hues/assigned numbers. Since this assignment is an infographic, you can have fun with the idea and play around with different ways to express your legend/key. The circle would look, as I imagine, like a slice of a spherical pie chart with many layers--like an onion! And your legend/key can label the layers, and the black/missing parts as absent/missing/gone, something like that. I'd say have fun with it.

  5. Great comments!

I thought we analyzed your piece in class and we didn't have to do it here. There were many suggestions provided for you.

But, since it is here, I would still work with bothe ideas. The second—I would also suggest to encorporate text in the image and after you do it,—exaggerate the movement—enlarge the entire image, crop, so that the missing black piece would "scream" in its absence.
